Greetings and blessings to you all,

“This Sunday we continue the series, Freed to Serve, in which we look at events in Acts that show how all kinds of people were rescued by God from all kinds of difficulties.  One of the striking lessons is the way in which Jesus’ followers did not simply accept the rescue God gave them, but willingly participated with Jesus in freeing others.   It’s a testimony of Jesus’ followers joining Jesus in the ministry he described in Luke 4: 18  “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Join us as we look at how a false imprisonment and dramatic rescue from prison offered freedom to many people and then consider how we can be better prepared to join Jesus as he rescues others today.”

Help us collect nonperishable food items, clothes, toiletries, blankets, and toys that can be used to benefit brothers and sisters in need. GCO is now partnered with a homeless ministry that is based in Kissimmee, FL.  All items can be brought to church on Sundays for collection.
